A Partnership is Formed
In the early 1990s, UCT learned of another fraternal benefit society, the Associated Canadian Travellers (ACT), whose members were in the process of evaluating their future.
ACT and UCT offered many of the same opportunities for their respective memberships, and their goals and objectives seemed to parallel. The decision was made to bring the two organizations together. At the 27th Biennial Meeting of the Associated Canadian Travellers held June 27-30, 1993, in Ottawa, Ontario, the ACT delegation voted to merge with UCT.
