UCT Gives Back AGAIN Video Contest launched today and we want your school to submit a video for a chance at winning $10,000 or $5,000! Submission phase begins today and ends March 15th!
UCT Gives Back AGAIN is a video contest open to schools with programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and colleges and universities with programs to train special education teachers – and the winning schools will receive $10,000 first-place prize, and $5,000 second-place prize!
I know what you’re thinking…creating a video will be difficult and the submission process is probably complicated. But we’ve made it so EASY TO ENTER! Ask yourself these questions:
- Does your U.S. or Canadian school have a program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or does your college or university have a program to train special education teachers?
- Do you have a video camera or a smartphone?
- Do you want your school to win $10,000 or $5,000?
If you answered YES to these questions, then start creating your video and nominate your school to enter to win $10,000 or $5,000!
To help, we’re sharing the videos produced from past winners of the UCT Gives Back contest. Check them out!
Eldon High School, Eldon, Missouri – First place $10,000
St. Raphael School, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada – Second place $5,000
Videos will be judged on your school’s demonstrated dedication and passion for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as your creativity and clarity in communication. Only one entry per school will be accepted and videos cannot exceed 2 ½ minutes in length – so get creative and submit your best video!
Nominations will be accepted through March 15, 2017. Our panel of judges will select the top finalists and post them on UCT’s Facebook page. Voting will begin on Monday, March 27, 2017, and you’ll be able to vote once per day.
