Summer officially arrives this week! It is perfect timing because this week the home office staff is ramping up our support for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and our Operation Feed campaign.
We’re hosting the third annual UCT Food Truck Rally here on Watermark Island this Wednesday, June 21 from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. 10 local food trucks have agreed to take part and donate a portion of their sales to our Operation Feed campaign. We’ll be raffling off some great prizes, like an Amazon Echo.
So far, the weather looks like it is going to cooperate and give us plenty of sunshine, which will be perfect for the CD 102.5 Ice Cream Truck!
The event is open to anyone and everyone – the more people who attend, the more money we can raise to feed hungry families right here in Central Ohio! Any local UCT members who want to attend – please do! We would love to see you and we’d appreciate the support!
But the fun doesn’t end there, the very next day (Thursday, June 22) we’re also hosting a happy hour at Smokehouse Brewing Company from 4 -6 p.m. It is right across the street from UCT, over on Dublin Road. The restaurant has kindly agreed to donate a portion of the sales from the first hour to our campaign as well. We’re asking anyone who attends the happy hour to make a donation at the door or bring some canned goods to donate.
We’re looking forward to kicking off summer with these two great events and bringing everyone here at the home office together for a very important cause.
